    The profile below for the Danville Micropolitan Statistical Area is made available through the Boyle County Industrial Foundation’s partnership with the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and its Economic Development Information System (EDIS).

    The Danville Micropolitan Area includes both Boyle (www.boyleky.com) and Lincoln (www.lincolnky.com) Counties, Kentucky, with a population of a total population of 53,383 according to the 2013 U.S. Census estimate.  Boyle's county seat is the City of Danville (www.danvilleky.org); Lincoln's county seat is the City of Stanford (www.stanfordky.org). 

    A Micropolitan Statistical Area is defined as an urban area based around an urban cluster with a population of 10,000 to 49,999, including any adjacent counties that have a high degree of social and economic integration as measured by commuting to work.
